Matt Bomer to Voice Man of Steel in Superman: Unbound

White Collar star Matt Bomer will be lending his voice to the last son of Krypton in Warner Bros. Animation’s upcoming animated DVD/Blu Ray/VOD movie Superman: Unbound. Other actors who will be joining the voice cast of the movie include John Noble as Braniac, Stana Katic as Lois Lane, and Molly Quinn as Kara Zor El.

Superman: Unbound is based on the 2008 Action Comics story arc by Geoff Johns, which finds Superman battling Braniac, who’s currently shrinking cities in order to put them inside a bottle, while destroying the rest of the planet.

““He’s the ultimate collector… He says what he’s doing is the name of science and ultimate knowledge, but really he just wants stuff and he doesn’t want anyone else to have access to it,” says director and supervising producer James Tucker.

Tucker also had nothing but praise for Bomer:

“Bomer had a jovial energy that was a little counter to what we usually do with Superman. But he also had that decency in his voice that Superman really needs no matter which way you go with him.”
