According to a recent announcement, Uyoung has recently appointed Mattel as the new global master toy partner for the 2D animated action series titled BattleClaw, which is targeted towards young boys aged 6 to 10.
As part of their duties, Mattel will be manufacturing, distributing, and marketing a line of toys and consumer products based on the BattleClaw franchise. This will include games, action figures, and more. Mattel will also oversee global licensing and merchandising for the property, and will be releasing a toy range in China soon after the show’s premiere on CCTV at 6pm on November 25.
The agreement between UYoung and Mattel will be the first time a Chinese property has secured a global master toy license, as well as said license having its global launch in China.
Lisa Zhong, the president of UYoung, remarked: “We are very excited and proud to have produced the first Chinese property to attract such a major international toy deal. On seeing BattleClaw, Mattel immediately recognized its high quality and its international toyetic appeal. At UYoung we remain committed to creating and developing world-class animated content which appeals to both Chinese and international markets.”
