Max Steel Debuts on Disney XD
Fremantle Media and Mattel’s animated reboot of Max Steel has just landed on Disney XD in the US yesterday, occupying the 4pm timeslot. The story still revolves around the titular teen hero, Maxwell McGrath and his alien companion, Steel.
Maxwell and Steel both have super powers, with the former possessing Turbo energy while the latter has been gifted with superior alien intellect. When they combine forces, they create the ultimate superhero that possesses all of their abilities and more.
The 26 episode series will also be released in more than 100 territories globally, including Australia, New Zealand, India, China, Hong Kong, Central and Eastern Europe, South and Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and Turkey, France, Italy, and Spain.
Max Steel is based on the popular Mattel action figures, which were first introduced in 1999. The character inspired another animated series by Mainframe, which ran from 2000 to 2002 as well as nine direct-to-video animated films from 2004 to 2012.
