Maya the Bee Expands Coverage to SE Asia
Studio 100 International’s newly reinvigorated kid-friendly property Maya the Bee will be making waves in South East Asia soon, as the company has just signed a new two year agreement with Asian licensing company Empire, which will expand Maya the Bee’s reach to all South East Asian territories including The Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan. The CG animated refresh of the series is already airing in some areas of the region via the Disney channel, which drove demand for a line of Maya merchandises.
Empire will be helping Studio 100 on producing a range of licensed products that cover a wide range of categories, such as toys & games, arts & crafts materials, publishing, apparel, dress-up, home goods & furnishings, linen, stationery and novelty items. Plus items related to back to school, health & beauty, party goods, gifts & accessories, fashion, sporting goods, food & confectionery, and promotional products.
