Medabots 8 Coming to Japanese 3DSes

A new Medabots game will be making its way to Japan (where it is known as Medarot) via the Nintendo 3DS (which has region locking, so don’t bother thinking of importing unless you have a Japanese 3DS.) The newest Medabot game will be coming in two forms, as is usually the case: Kabuto and Kuwagata versions, each one costing around 5,800 yen (roughly $57 USD.)

According to the most recent issue of Famitsu magazine, the new Medabots game will be detective-themed, and players will be able to battle and trade parts via local and online multiplayer. The game system has been retooled a little bit in order to make it easier to learn for new players. The protagonist, the world view, and the Medabot 3D models were also overhauled.
