Mercis and Blue Zoo Partner for New CG Miffy Series

Award-winning animation studio Blue Zoo has been tapped by Mercis BV, which is trhe current international rights owner for Dick Bruna’s classic preschool property Miffy, in order to produce a brand new CG animated series for the beloved bunny character. The series will consist of 52 x 7 minute episodes and will continue the success of the stop motion Miffy and Friends series, which managed to air in more than 70 countries since its 2003 launch.

The new CG animated Miffy series promises to stay true to the core values of the property as it tells warm and engaging stories based on universal childhood experiences, centering on friendship and discovery. The series is still under pre-production, but has been scheduled for completion in the latter half of 2015.
