Mia and Me takes MipJunior by storm as the top screened show
Every year, studios and companies bring out their biggest and brightest ideas to Mipcom, a media focused event that houses all of these creations. The kid targeted portion, dubbed MipJunior, sees works of art from all stretches of the world, companies big and small. Out of the thousands of segments and toons that showed up for this year’s gathering, a clear winner stood at the top as the most requested and most screened show; Mia and Me. A mix of live action and CG animation, to Gerd Hahn-created toon has a team of producers and collaborators that includes: m4e, Hahn Film, Lucky Punch, ZDF, Rai Fiction, Rainbow, and March Entertainment. The toon’s style is based on Gustav Klimt’s paintings and stars Rosabell Laurenti Sellers as Mia, a precocious young girl who finds herself hurled into a wondrous world of unicorns, elves and pans via a computer game designed by her parents. Along with the valiant elves Prince Mo and Yuko, she must protect this incredible world from being consumed by the evil Queen Panthea. Sound like something you’d want to screen?
