The hit live-action/CG-animated children’s series Mia and Me has proven to be every bit as popular in Germany as it is in the US. The Lucky Punch GmbH-produced (a joint venture between m4e and Gerhard Hahn) show debuted on Germany’s KiKA last August 6, 7 PM, and has since managed to deliver a 33% market share (roughly 300 thousand children within the 3-13 age group).
Mia and Me (26 x 23) is targeted towards girls aged 6 to 11 and focuses on the adventures of a young girl who finds a portal leading to a magical fantasy world of unicorns, elves, fairies, and dragons. The series has so far won several awards, including the Kid’s Jury Best Animated series award and the 19th International Trickfilm-Stuttgart festival last May.
The m4e Group is based in Germany and specializes in brand management of children’s family entertainment. Other shows in its portofolio include Lizzie McGuire, Moomins, Miffy, Conni, Something Else, and Rainbow Fish.
