Millimages’ Molang Scores New Deals in China

Paris-based studio Millimages recently scored a raft of new deals in China for its hit animated series, Molang. The new deals consist of broadcast agreement with some of the most popular platforms in the country, such as Tencent, Alibaba SVOD (including Youku and Tudou), and Mango TV. These new broadcasters will be joining IQIYI, which has already premiered Molang.

The new deals are part of Millimages’ campaign to expand Molang’s presence in China. The campaign includes a deal signed with e-Commerce giant Alibaba last year, covering the licensing and merchandising rights to the series. The first batch of Molang products are scheduled to come out soon. There is also a package deal signed with Chinese media group Wow Dadi, which includes the rights to Pirata & Capitano, seasons one and two of Paper Port, and seasons one and two of Corneil & Bernie.
