Milo Murphy’s Law Debuts October 3
Grammy-winning artist and legendary satirist Al Yankovic (Weird Al) is voicing the title role in the new animated comedy series Milo Murphy’s Law, which will premiere on Disney XD on Monday, October 3 at 8 p.m. ET. The two-part 22-minute episodes of the 2D series from the executive producers and creators Dan Povermine and Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh (Phineas and Ferb). Al Yankovic also performs the theme song of the song and other tunes all throughout the series.
Ahead of Milo Murphy’s Law broadcast premiere, fans will be able to watch a full-length preview of the 1st episode on Disney XD’s YouTube Channel, Disney XD app and Disney XD VOD platforms starting Monday, September 26.
The show follows Milo Murphy (Al Yankovic), a 13-year old kid who’s the great-great-great-great grandson of the coiner of Murphy’s Law – Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Milo was born with EHML or Extreme Hereditary Murphy’s Law condition so he’s always expecting the unexpected. He’s always prepared for every possibility and always armed with a backpack of supplies, knowledge and an endless sense of enthusiasm and optimism. Together with his best friends Melissa (Sabrina Carpenter) and Zack (MeKai Curtis), Milo an turn any disaster into an adventure. Ming-Na Wen of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. also joins the returning cast as Savannah, the high-level time travel agent.
Marsh and Povenmire also voice pistachio protectors from the future Balthazar Cavendish and Vinnie Dakota. It is directed and produced by Robert F. Hughes with Bob Bowen as director and Danny Jacob as song composer and song producer. Story editor is Scott Peterson, while Dani Vetere, Joshua Pruett and Jim Bernstein (Phineas and Ferb) serve as staff writers.
