Mobile Suit Gundam Online Open Beta Trailer

Fans of the Mobile Suit Gundam Franchise who wanted a game that better represents the intense large scale mech-on-mech battles in the anime have been waiting a long time for Mobile Suit Gundam Online (particularly because the closest they got to large scale Gundam battles is through the Dynasty Warriors: Gundam games, which were crappy button mashfests that made you feel like it’s a Dynasty Warrior character dressed up as a Gundam, instead of a proper Gundam being piloted by a person).

The closed beta testing for Mobile Suit Gundam Online is already finished, and they will be opening it up to the public under Open Beta rules this coming December 19th. The PC-based MMO promises to provide the first ever authentic feel of a large scale Gundam warfare, as players will be taking command and combat roles, with up to 100 mobile suits taking the field in a single instance.

The full service is planned to go live this winter.
