Monster Hunter Film Adaptation to Feature Milla Jovovich and Paul Anderson
Director Paul W.S. Anderson and actress Milla Jovovich have already book-ended their Resident Evil movie adaptations, with 2016’s Resident Evil: The Final Chapter serving as the last installment in the franchise. But, the husband and wife duo are not done with Capcom franchises. News has it that Anderson, Jovovich, and producer Jeremy Bolt will produce a Monster Hunter film adaptation.
For the uninitiated, Monster Hunter is a 3D videogame franchise that tasks players with hunting down gigantic and savage beasts. The spoils from these hunts are used to craft more powerful armor and weapons. Lather, rinse, and repeat.
Details are still sparse on the film adaptation, so we have no idea what kind of film to expect. It is a safe bet that Milla Jovovich will star, of course.
The reported budget is around $60 million.
