Muppet Babies Makes a Comeback to Disney TV on 2018
Muppet Babies is ready to fulfil its promise and make their fans’ dreams come true as Disney Junior launches a new, reimagined Muppet Babies in 2018. The series will chronicle the playroom adventures of Piggy, Kermit the Frog, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, Miss Nanny and Animal. The production has just started on the CG-animated series, a co-production of Disney Junior, The Muppets Studio, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media’s Content & Media Group.
The show is aimed at children ages 4 to 7 and every episode features two 11-minute romps intended to convey critical thinking and creative skills by utilizing the power of imaginative play, as the Muppet babies let their imaginations take them to the utmost corners of the universe. Emmy-winner Eric Shaw (SpongeBob SquarePants) will be the story editor with Tom Warburton (The 7D) will be the executive producer.
The Muppet Babies’ return was in part stirred up by The Muppet Studio’s appreciation of nostalgia and fan demand for the Jim Henson cartoon (1984-1991) proved on social media and digital channels run by DCPI’s Content & Media group.
