Starting this week, eight different mini-figures based on the Mysticons and Skylanders Academy (four inspired by each series) animated series will be available at Burger King. The eight-week promotion will run in more than 7,400 restaurants across the U.S. and Canada. The toys will be available in the King Jr. kids meals.
Nelvana’s Mysticons premiered on Nickelodeon in the United States and YTV on August 28, 2017. The second season recently debuted on Nicktoons. Since launch, the series has surpassed 4.1 million views on its short form content on YouTube. Skylanders Academy is a Netflix-original series from TeamTO based on Activision Blizzard’s hit video-game franchise. The first season debuted on October 28, 2016. The second season launched on the streaming last fall. A third season has been greenlit.
“We’re incredibly thrilled to partner with Burger King for this exciting opportunity with Mysticons,” said Pam Westman, Head, Nelvana Enterprises. “We can’t wait to share the world of Mysticons with Burger King guests, and invite more fans to connect with the magic and adventure of the series.”
