NES Classic gets Shonen Jump-themed release in Japan

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the legendary manga anthology Weekly Shonen Jump, Nintendo will launch a special version of their NES Classic. Loaded with games based on Dragon Ball, Fist of the North Star, Saint Seiya and other classics, the Nintendo Classic Mini Family Computer Weekly Shonen Jump 50th Anniversary Version (rolls right off the tongue …) will launch in Japan on July 7 in Japan for 7,980 yen.

If you’re not in Japan, but just want an NES Classic, don’t worry. Nintendo will reintroduce the plug-and-play device in western markets starting June 29th. Though, like with a lot of products from the company, expect there to be scalpers as Nintendo has only committed to making them until the end of the year.
