Leading entertainment streaming service Netflix continues to bolster their library with family and preschool shows, with the latest one being the stop-motion animated kids’ series Miffy and Friends, which is based on world-famous writer/illustrator Dick Bruna’s series of children’s books. Four 25 minute episodes are now available on Netflix, courtesy of a deal signed with current rights holder Big Tent Entertainment.

The Miffy franchise started out in 1955 in book form, followed by 30 more books that have sold over 85 million copies in total worldwide. The property has also inspired two separate television series (with Netflix getting the more recent one) and a feature length film that was released last year.

The episodes that will be made available on Netflix are “Miffy: Little Bunny,” in which Miffy prepares to welcome a new baby sibling; “Miffy Goes to the Zoo,” “Miffy’s Birthday” and “Miffy’s Happy New Year.”

“We are very pleased to have these episodes available to Miffy fans on Netflix,” said Rich Collins, Big Tent Entertainment CEO. “We know that parents are always looking for high-quality children’s entertainment and now they can have access to Miffy episodes anytime, anywhere and on any device.”
