New Despicable Me 3 Trailer Reveals Gru’s Twin Brother

It’s been a little bit too quiet on the Illumination Entertainment side since releasing the first teaser for Despicable Me 3 back in December, but now they have dropped the proverbial bomb with the first full length official trailer. The length (which clocks in at a mere 2 and a half minutes) is not the notable thing about the trailer. Rather, it’s the fact that it reveals’ Gru’s wealthier but more despicable twin brother, Dru.

Of course, we all know most of you will be watching because of The Minions. In which case, there’s no need to worry – the cute yellow things will still be present in the film:

The Despicable Me 3 voice cast features the return of Steve Carell as the dastardly but charming villain Gru and his twin brother Dru, Kristen Wiig as Lucy, and the adorable little girls Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier) and Agnes (Nev Scharrel), as well as South Park co-creator Trey Parker as the voice of Balthazar Bratt, Gru’s most formidable nemesis to date.

Directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, co-directed by Eric Guillon, and written by Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio, Despicable Me 3 arrives in theaters on June 30, 2017.
