New Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Trailer Showcases Gambit System
Now that Square Enix’s remastered rerelease of Final Fantasy XII, dubbed Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, is getting closer to its July launch, the publisher has deemed it fit to crank the preview machine up to 11, resulting in a flood of preview images and trailers. The most notable of which is the most recent trailer as it highlights the “Gambit System” in the game.
For the uninitiated, Final Fanstasy XII is the first iteration of Final Fantasy’s main numbered franchise to introduce the “gambit” system, which is essentially a system that allows your AI allies/party members to fight automatically using preset strategies that can be customized by the player. It’s basically the precursor to the combat system that will be used later in the franchise’s most recent numbered installments.
