New Official Oggy and the Cockroaches Mobile Game Launched
A cursory browsing of the iOS and Google Play stores will reveal that you can find an app for just about any popular property out there. The caveat is that a huge chunk of them are unofficial, most likely illegal use of an IP, and just plain poor in quality. So it’s always welcome news when an official mobile app launches for a property that we know and love. Case in point, French studio Xilam has recently released a fun new mobile game for the globally popular cartoon Oggy and the Cockroaches.
This new Oggy and the Cockroaches app is designed in-house by Xilam Animation and developed by mobile publishing company Playsoft. It’s a sidescrolling endless runner game where Oggy himself must try to catch Joey, Deedee, and Marky as they try to empty Oggy’s fridge. You can watch the app in action below:
“We are thrilled to announce that Oggy’s App already passed 1.5 M downloads and is now growing fast in other countries, from India to Italy,” notes Marc du Pontavice, founder and president of Xilam Animation.
The game is free to download and play on the iOS app store and Google Play store, but will have in-app purchases that provide bonus levels and helpful in-game items.
