New Project of Fairy Tail TV Anime in the Works


The 17th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine this year has revealed that the Fairy Tail TV anime series is developing a new project. The announcement did not give any more details about the new project. This is in light of the current anime season broadcasting its last episode on March 26 after debuting in April 2014. It has aired an adaptation of the Fairy Tail Zero prequel manga between January 9 and March 11.

The 1st television anime series aired between 2009 and 2013. The original manga of Hiro Mashima has also inspired various video animation adaptations such as the upcoming anime that will ship with the 55th and 56th volumes of manga in May and July, respectively. A green light has also been switched on for the second anime film after the first one debuted n August 2012.

Aside from several spinoff manga, mashima’s manga has also inspired a stage play that will run from April 20 to May 9 in Tokyo. Funimation is releasing the 2 anime series in Blu0ray and DVD Disc sets as well as on home video.
