Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai recently revealed a new screenshot for the upcoming game, this time featuring a look at Mega Man. The screenshot in question depicts the Blue Bomber’s Final Smash, in which he brings some of his other forms (or iterations) together for a beam attack. As mentioned, the image shows Megaman.EXE and Megaman Legends’ Volnutt.
The latter is worth noting because the issue of the next Megaman Legends installment is sort of a sticking point for fans of the series, who feel neglected for the lack of attention it’s been getting from Capcom.
“Pic of the day. Mega Man.EXE and Mega Man Volnutt!! They only appear for a split second, but the modeling is so detailed. And if that’s the case…!” says Sakurai.
“…How can we not use it for trophy creation?! Today’s update is a rare mix of Wii U and 3DS images in the same post.”
Super Smash Bros. will be released for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U on summer and winter of this year, respectively.
