DreamWorks Animation has jus released a new theatrical trailer for the CG animated comedy movie The Boss Baby. Amusingly titled “A Tale Not As Old as Time,” the trailer starts with an obvious riff on Beauty and the Beast, as the titular baby character plays with a couple of items that will be very familiar to fans of Beauty and the Beast.
That’s not all that it’s referencing, as a little later towards the end of the trailer is a spoof of Glengarry Glen Ross’s “coffee is for closers” line, which is apt seeing as that film was a breakthrough (yet very minor) role for actor Alec Baldwin, who voices the lead character in The Boss Baby. The rest of the trailer features key scenes that show off the hilarity, as well as give viewers a basic idea of what the film is about.

For the uninitiated, The Boss Baby’s story focuses on the eponymous tot, whose arrival in a family changes their lives significantly – but all told from the point of view of an unreliable narrator – a wildly imaginative 7-year-old named Tim.
