20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios have released a new trailer for the new CG animated film Ice Age: Collision Course, which will hit the theaters on July 22. It sets up the disastrous events of the 5th film, which follows Scrat, the acorn-crazed squirrel in space after a violent meteor shower to earth, where the gang should face the end of the era and find help from an unlikely corner.
Ice Age: Collision Course is directed by Mike Thurmeier. It features the voices of Denis Leary, Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo, Josh Peck, Seann William Scott, Keke Palmer, Simon Pegg, Jennifer Lopez and Wanda Sykes. Additional voice talents include Adam DeVine, Max Greenfield, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Melissa Rauch, Jessie J, Michael Strahan, Nick Offerman and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
In Ice Age: Collision, Scrat’s chase of the elusive acorn pushes him into the universe where he unintentionally triggers a series of cosmic events that change and threaten the Ice Age World. In order to save themselves, Manny, Diego, Sid and the rest of the herd should abandon their home and get on a mission full of adventure, comedy and travelling to interesting new lands and meet a crowd of colorful new characters.
