New Trailer Released for Akiba’s Trip Anime Adaptation

The official Youtube channel for Akiba’s Trip – the Animation has just released a new trailer for the upcoming anime, which is adapted from the cult-favorite, fanservice-heavy videogame franchise in which you save Akiba from energy-sucking vampires by stripping them of their clothes, so that they can be exposed to sunlight (which, if you haven’t been keeping up on your vampire lore, is fatal to the creatures.)

Akiba’s Trip – The Animation is directed by Hiroshi Ikehata and features animation by Gonzo. The story will follow a similar trajectory to the games, with a group of teenagers dealing with vampire infestation in Akihabara by brawling, and then stripping the clothes of the subdued vampires so they can burst into flames via the purifying powers of sunlight.

Akiba’s Trip – The Animation will be debuting on Tokyo MX on January 04, 2017 followed by broadcasts on BS Fuji and AT-X. The series will also be available digitally via the Anime Store website.
