DHX Media has recently licensed the exclusive U.S. broadcast rights for Teletubbies’ second season to Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr., which nets the preschool channel 30 brand new half hour episodes of the colorful hit series for 2017.
“The new Teletubbies series is winning fans worldwide, and the pickup of another season in the U.S. points to the enduring appeal of this global brand,” said Josh Scherba, SVP Distribution of DHX Media. “With all the recognizable favorites as well as new features, the second season is a real treat for audiences both in the U.S. on Nick Jr., and the U.K. where it will premiere exclusively on CBeebies next year.”
Teletubbies’ season two will introduce exciting new elements that will delight a whole new generation of fans, while giving old fans more reason to revisit Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po in their hilarious, creative, and entertaining adventures in Teletubbyland. Additionally, a new area of Teletubbyland will be introduced: the beautiful hidden glade called Hidey Hup.
