Nickelodeon Greenlights Season 3 of Sanjay & Craig
Nickelodeon has recently approved a third season of their hit animated comedy series Sanjay & Craig, ordering 20 more episodes. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon’s President of Content Development and Production, Russell Hicks. The series, which focuses on an excitable and irreverent 12 year old boy and the smooth talking snake that he considers as his best friend, managed to rank as the #2 animated show across all TV with kids aged 2 to 11, second only to Nickelodeon’s other animated comedy series Spongebob Squarepants. The second season will debut new episodes this summer on Nickelodeon, followed by a rollout to international audiences this fall.
“When Sanjay and Craig was first brought to us and was described as being about two best friends, with one that just happens to be a snake, we knew that it had the makings of a great Nickelodeon cartoon,” said Hicks. “This show is connecting with kids because our creators had a great vision and they are telling stories that our audience relates to and that are just flat out funny with a lot of heart.”
