Nickelodeon Joins Forces With NFL, MLS, and NASCAR for Nicksports Block

Nickelodeon has just announced a new partnership with sports organizations NFL, MLS, and NASCAR, which will see the launch of a new sports-themed primetime programming block. Dubbed ‘Nicksports,’ the new programming block is scheduled to debut on Wednesday, Sept. 3 on Nicktoons.

The Nicksports programming block will feature a mix of original and acquired long and short form content from the NFL, MLS, and NASCAR, including but not limited to: Rob Dyrdek’s Wild Grinders, NFL Rush Zone, and the soon to premiere Little Ballers. The block will also feature acquired sports-themed theatrical movies. The regular schedule of Nicksports will be every Wednesdays from 9 to 11 pm ET.

“More than 70 percent of kids ages 7-14 in the U.S. play two-to-three organized sports a year, so the interest and enthusiasm is already there,” said Keith Dawkins, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Nicktoons, TeenNick and Nick Jr. “Our NickSports block will bring kids and families into the huddle by giving them an all-access pass to their favorite athletes, teams and leagues.”
