Nickelodeon Launches Animation-Centric Podcast
As a way of celebrating 25 years of providing their own brand of animated content, Nickelodeon has launched their own podcast dubbed the Nickelodeon Animation Podcast, and has made it available on different platforms including iTunes, SoundCloud, Youtube, and nickanimationpodcast.com.
The Nickelodeon Animation Podcast is Nickelodeon’s first foray into the podcast medium, and will be going full blast with a 20-episode weekly schedule that allows creators and talent behind some of their most popular cartoons to discuss various stories and anecdotes about their careers, inspirations, and any other weird stories they may encounter on the job. The series will be hosted by Geek & Sundry’s Hector Navarro.
The first episode features Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, the co-creators and executive producers of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Upcoming guests include: Chris Savino (The Loud House), Butch Hartman (The Fairly OddParents), Kevin Eastman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Arlene Klasky (Rugrats), Craig Bartlett (Hey Arnold!), C.H. Greenblatt (Harvey Beaks), and Jim Jinkins (Doug), as well as notable voice actors Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Billy West (The Ren & Stimpy Show), Andy Richter (Bob’s Burgers) and Maria Bamford (CatDog), among others.
