Nickelodeon has recently secured exclusive US and Carribean Basin broadcast rights for the first season of Genius Brands International’s CG animated series Rainbow Rangers. The deal will see the highly anticipated adventure series debut on Nick Jr. once it gets out of development. Additionally, Mattel’s Fish-Price Toys has also joined as Global Master Toy Partner for the brand.
Rainbow Rangers is described as an in-depth look at the real lives of superheroes, told through episodes that blend fantasy and action-adventure elements, while taking the time to espouse the value of friendship and eco-friendliness. The protagonists are seven heroines who make up the titular superhero team, each representing a color of the rainbow and boasting of a power that is as unique as their personality.
