Oggy & the Cockroaches get new mobile games

Indian mobile gaming company Nazara Technologies has partnered up with France’s Xilam Animation to produce a series of Oggy & the Cockroaches games. The first of these games is expected to launch in the quarter one of 2018 in Asia Pacific, Latin America and Middle East.

Marc du Pontavice, founder and president of Xilam said: “Xilam is eager to expand the presence of its properties in the digital domain. Nazara is one of the leaders in mobile gaming arena and we’re thrilled to be working together to take Oggy and his friends to new heights in gaming. We’re excited to give kids yet another avenue to become immersed in his cheeky world as we celebrate 20 years of Oggy & the Cockroaches.

Nazara is one of the largest Indian game studios and has successfully developed titles based on local IPs like Chhota Bheem and Motu Patlu.

The dialogue-less Oggy & the Cockroaches has been in production since 1998. The series has been distributed to over 160 territories and in India can be seen on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon.

While fans wait for the new games, they should check out the prior mobile title if they haven’t already.
