Popular porcine-centric kids’ toon Peppa Pig will be joining the festive celebratory season this coming December 22 at 12:30 PM on Nick Jr., with a funny and christmas-y holiday special peppasode titled “Father Christmas.”
The “Father Christmas” special will feature the titular young pig, her brother George, Daddy, and Mummy Pig along with all of her animal friends as they go on yet another hilarious, playful adventure. The difference this time around is that they are preparing to put on a big Christmas show for all the parents, only to be surprised by a special visit from Father Christmas himself. Aside from the main Father Christmas yarn, the Peppa Pig holiday episode will also include the christmas-themed yarns “Santa’s Grotto,” “Santa’s Visit,” “Mr. Potato;s Christmas Show,” and “Snow.”
The Holiday episode is not the only Peppa Pig-related good news, though:
Entertainment One has also announced that Peppa Pig is heading to Germany via top children’s channel Super RTL. The free-to-air broadcaster will premiere brand new episodes from season 7 beginning March 1, 2018. Further, Super RTL’s licensing division will handle Peppa’s program in Germany, with a focus on lining up new partners and managing existing relationships.
“We’re extremely excited about the arrival of Peppa Pig on Super RTL. The show’s winning combination of humour, charm and relatable stories of everyday family life is sure to appeal to our preschool audience and we look forward to bringing Peppa Pig to homes across Germany next year,” says Super RTL CEO Claude Schmit.
