Pixar and Disney Monsters University What about Boo

Just recently, Disney began spilling the beans about their upcoming CG animated film, Monsters University. The second film in the Monsters franchise, set to release on June 21st 2013 – some twelve years after the original Monsters, Inc. was released – will actually take place before the first film. That’s right, it’s about the early days of Sulley and Mike, and the bond they formed while becoming the Monsters they were meant to be. That’s all well and good, and we’re certainly excited to see the return of some of our favorite Pixar characters, but… what about Boo? The adorable little girl who co-starred in the first film? If this story takes place before the pair ever met her (and likely before she was even born) does that mean we’re to go Boo-less in the prequel?

No more adorably cute Boo? No super sweet, and maybe a little sad, moments?!
