PJ Masks leaps to third season order
eOne Entertainment and Frog Box have begun production on the third season of their preschool hit PJ Masks. The upcoming 52 episode x 11 minute season will have Catboy, Gekko and Owlette continue their pyjama heroics.
News of the third season comes just as the second launches. Disney Junior in the United States debuted the first new episodes on January 15th. An international rollout on Disney Junior is expected to happen this year, as well as a run on France 5. The first season has also aired on Tiny Pop in the United Kingdom, Australia’s ABC Kids, Italy’s RAI YoYo, Brazil’s TV Cultura and Televisa in Mexico. The show first aired on Disney Junior in the United States on September 18, 2015.
“PJ Masks has become a hit preschool TV brand around the world, so we’re delighted to be creating new episodes that will bring our trio of superheroes into new storylines and ignite the imaginations of its global fan base,” said Olivier Dumont, the president of eOne Family & Brands.
That’s not all that PJ fans have to be excited for. Toy licensee Just Play is also hard at work on a new line of toys to tie-in with the new episodes.
