Pokemon Developer Reveals New Game About Horse Racing and Solitaire
Game Freak, which is known for being the original developer of Pokemon, has just announced a brand new game that they have described as “That popular game that is played around the world will be reborn in a surprising collaboration!”
The name of the game is Soliti Horse, and mixes the ancient art of horse racing with the equally ancient art of Solitaire, then wraps them up together in a pint-sized and addictive game for the Nintendo 3DS.
As its name implies, Soliti Horse will have gamers alternating between Solitaire and Horse Racing, and uses the touch screen to guide the horses. There’s also hints of pet husbandry as horses gain more power if you develop deeper bonds with them. And you develop these bonds by playing Solitaire. Like many japanese multi-genre games, it gets kind of difficult to do the game justice using mere words.
Soliti Horse will be Game Freak’s first-ever self-published title, and will be heading to the Japanese 3DS eShop this coming July 31, for the price of 500 yen.
