DreamWorks has just released a poster for their upcoming CG/hand drawn animation hybrid feature Me & My Shadow, a little bit too early for its spring 2014 release. The film uses CG for the sections that deal with the lead character, whose actions are unfortunately taken over by his own shadow. The shadow’s animation, on the other hand, will be using traditional hand drawn animation.
Me & My Shadow’s director is industry veteran Alessandro Carloni, whose past credits include How to Train Your Dragon as head of story. Me & My Shadow will be his first directorial effort.
Me & My Shadow was originally announced in 2010 with Mark Dindal (past credits include The Emperor’s New Groove, Cats Don’t Dance) as the attached director, but he seems to have dropped out of the project for undisclosed reasons.
