Primal Screen to Bring Maya the Bee Movie to the UK

The extremely popular Maya the Bee Movie will be making its way to the U.K. and Scandinavia soon, after a landmark deal between Studio 100 Film and London-based Primal Screen. The deal also covers rights for U.K., Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. The movie has already made headway into over 170 territories, including North America.

For the uninitiated, Maya the Bee Movie is a CG animated film that focuses on the titular bee, who dreams of finding an exiting life full of fun, adventure, and freedom. She has resolved to leave the comforts of the hive, and in the process has got her into conflict with the Queen’s narrow-minded royal advisor, Buzzlina. With the help of her best friend Willy, Maya goes on an exhilarating adventure of self-discovery.
