In September of 2016, the cast of the One Punch Man anime adaptation, Makoto Furukawa, Kaito Ishikawa, uki Kaji, Aoi Yūki, and Saori Hayami, along with theme song performers JAM Project and Hiroko Moriguchi, reunited for a Fall Festival event that also served as the medium for news that a second season of the series has been greenlit. It may seem like a long time has passed since then, especially in the age of the Internet where people expect things to happen in an instant – but an update has recently revealed that production on the anime is already underway:
One Punch Man Season 2 confirmed.
Production is in progress. Exact date is TBA.

For the uninitiated, the One Punch Man anime was adapted from the digital manga series illustrated by Yusuke Murata, which in turn is a remake of a long running comedy web comic from an artist working under the pseudonym “ONE.” The story concerns a hero named Saitama, who is extremely strong – to the point that he can end all fights with a single punch – yet languishing in relative obscurity and considered as a low class hero by the public and his fellow heroes.
