Last 2015, PC gamers were graced with Chroma Squad, a retro-inspired strategy RPG that allows players to manage their own Sentai Studio, effectively giving birth to a whole generation of virtual producers with their own Power Rangers or Kyoryurangers franchises.
This coming May, console owners from the PS4 and Xbox One camp will finally get to join in on the fun, as Bandai Namco has announced that the strategy RPG will be coming to the two consoles. Bandai Namco offers a brief description of the game in their press release:
In Chroma Squad players take control of five high-flying stunt actors who decide to quit their day jobs and create their own Power Rangers TV show.
Of course, it is not all good news. While PS4 and Xbox One owners finally get their ports, it seems that the PS Vita version has been cancelled, so handheld owners are unfortunately left in the dust. This is hardly surprising, though, as the PS Vita is already EOL as far as Sony is concerned, so we can’t expect developers and publishers to give it much importance.
