Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana has recently signed an agreement with NBCU’s Universal Kids network Sprout, under which the animated preschool series Ranger Rob will be brought to the US. The deal will encompass seasons one and two of the series, which amounts to a total of 40 episodes, some of which have already started airing on Sprout last July 8. Ranger Rob is currently airing every Friday at 8 am ET, and Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 am.
Ranger Rob follows the titular novice ranger as he performs his duties with gusto around the Big Sky Park, which is the coolest natural adventure park in existence. Ranger Rob swings, ziplines, and snowboards as part of his daily activities, and along the way manages to take viewers on a new adventure that encourages exploration and curiosity for the natural world.
“We are thrilled to work with leading broadcaster Sprout and bring the wonder of Ranger Rob to audiences in the US,” said Pam Westman, Head of Nelvana Enterprises. “The series is all about igniting a sense of adventure and curiosity in kids, and we are delighted to share Ranger Rob’s adventures to a new set of fans and encourage even more kids to explore and discover the world around them.”
