Sony Computer Entertainment, Blockade Entertainment and Rainmaker Entertainment have announced that they’re bringing the hit video game series Ratchet & Clank to the big screen in 2015. The CG film will star the cast from the games including James Arnold Taylor as Ratchet, David Kaye as Clank, and Jim Ward as Captain Qwark. Developed closely in partnership with Insomniac Games, the creators of the series, the film’s script will be written by series regular T.J. Fixman. As an adaptation of the first game in the series the story will have Ratchet and his robot sidekick Clank take on the evil Chairman Drek bent on destroying planets to rebuild his own.

The Ratchet & Clank series originally started in 2002 and has since spawned countless sequels, spinoffs, comics, action figures, and more. This is the first time the duo will be seen animated outside of the video game realm.
