Zodiak Kids’ Redakai: Conquer the Kairu is all set to conquer Korea with a brand new TV and licensing deals for the 52×30 show, which means the franchise now covers every major continent in the world.

The newest cable and satellite TV deal for Redakai: Conquer the Kairu was signed with premiere kids cable channel JEI, and broadcast is scheduled to begin this April. Toy licensing, on the other hand, was awarded to Joon International, with Spin Master’s local distributor Toyskool acting as distributor.

In line with the TV broadcast and toy licensing deals, Redakai: Conquer the Kairu’s popular Trading Card Game will be launched over the summer, ahead of the toy line’s retail schedule during the fall. Joon International has already inked several important licensing deals with Zeus with regards to Role Play Toys, BnB for Puzzles, Elite Fancy Base for stationary, and Unicorn for stickers and activity books. The first batch of licensed Redakai products will arrive in retail outlets this summer.

“We are thrilled to introduce this new and exciting boys animation property in Korea. We believe Korean boys will love the animation and will soon want the innovative TCG cards and other products. The local licensees we have secured for Redakai are industry leaders renown for high quality product development and will certainly contribute effectively toward creating and increasing brand awareness, together with the great support of JEI TV,” says Joon S. Choi, CEO, Joon International.

Patricia de Wilde, Senior Vice, President Consumer Products, Marathon Media responded, “We are very confident that our partnership with Joon in Korea will be an extremely successful one, ensuring that Redakai’s first foray into the Far East market will open doors for the rest of the area. Joon’s vision and enthusiasm for the property has translated into an innovative and broad-based CP plan which has already shown significant results.”

Redakai was developed by Marathon Media (Totally Spies, Gormiti) and Spin Master (Bakugan), as a TV series and a ground breaking, award-winning TCG. Redakai’s Blast3D™ technology featuring one-of-a-kind 3D and animation effects made its launch in the US and Canada already, and pushed it to win the BTHA’s prestigious 2012 Best New Toy, Pocket Money Category Award at this year’s UK Toy Fair.
