Robot Chicken DC Comics Special’s Airdate Announced
Adult Swim has recently announced the airdate for the highly anticipated Robot Chicken DC Comics Special, which will officially kick off the 6th season of the Award-winning comedy series on Sunday, September 9th at midnight.
Produced by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios in collaboration with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, the Robot chicken DC Comics Special features spoofs of familiar characters from the DC Comics Universe. The star studded voice cast includes Seth Green, who will voice Batman, Robin, and Aquaman, Neil Patrick Harris who is in charge of voicing Two-Face, and Alfred Molina as Lex Luthor. Nathan Filion will also lend his help in voicing Green Lantern, along with other guest stars such as Megan Fox doing her best Lois Lane voice, Breckin Meyer as Superman, and others.
Robot Chicken uses stop-motion animation to great effect in bringing hilarious pop-culture parodies to life using a modern variety/sketch show format. Since its initial airing back in 2005, the show has remained one of the top rating shows on Adult Swim.
Robot Chicken is created and executive produced by Stoopid Monkey Productions’ Seth Green and Matthew Senreich and their Stoopid Buddy Stoodios partners, Buddy Systems’ John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner, also serve as executive producers. Green and Senreich also write, voice and with Zeb Wells, direct the multiple Annie Award-winning series. Robot Chicken head writers/co-executive producers Douglas Goldstein and Tom Root are joined by season six writers Matthew Beans, Rachel Bloom, Mike Fasolo, Jessica Gao, Breckin Meyer, Jason Reich, Mehar Sethi, Tom Sheppard, Erik Weiner and Wells.
