Rovio Gets New Licensees for Angry Birds Movie

The May 20 theatrical debut of Rovio Entertainment’s The Angry Birds Movie is right around the corner, and the momentum it has built will not be wasted as the company has recently announced an impressive list of new licensees for various categories of their Angry Birds franchise.

The list includes a number of fairly big brands, including toy juggernaut LEGO, which will bring six new building sets based on the Angry Birds movie franchise, with plans to incorporate the playsets into the Angry Birds Action! game via the inclusion of “Birdcodes” on the packaging. Spin Master has also joined the crew via a new line of collectible figures, playsets, and games. H&M is producing an exclusive line of children’s apparel, while Amscan is on board for party supplies and children’s costumes in several territories.
