Saban to Introduce Power Rangers Megaforce at MIPcom 2012
Saban Brands and Marvista Entertainment are getting ready for this year’s MIPcom, as they will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Power Rangers franchise by introducing the newest title in the series, Power Rangers Megaforce, to the international market.
Power Rangers Megaforce (40×30) will feature new characters and will focus on the same recurring themes in the Power Rangers franchise, such as friendship, fitness, teamwork, and compassion. The show is slated to debut in the US via Nickelodeon in 2013.
The current broadcast partners for Saban’s other Rangers brands, Power Rangers Samurai and Classic Power Rangers include Channel 5 (UK), YTV (Canada), Channel 9 (Australia), TV4 (New Zealand), Boing (Spain), France’s Canal J and Gulli, Italy’s Mediaset’s Italia 1 and Boing, Venevision (Venezuela), Mega (Chile), Televisa (Mexico), and Sonic, part Nickelodeon’s platform in India. Saban Brands will support the international launch of Power Rangers Megaforce with a full consumer products line, character appearances, retail promotions and advertising.
