Saban launches Kibaoh Klashers on Netflix

Netflix has launched the first 15-episodes of Saban Brands’ new Chinese animated series, Kibaoh Klashers. Produced by Bluearc Animation Studio, Saban’s English version of the CG-animated show stars Ben Diskin, Cherami Leigh, and Dakota Basseri.

On a remote insect planet, there lived a beetle boy and his grandpa. Since a young age, the industrious boy helped with excavating in the Camellia Village. Through his hard work, he gained excellent driving skills. He lived a peaceful routine life until one day he was suddenly drawn into battle by an intruder from outside the village. His dauntless actions reveal that he was the descendant of the champion of the battle Blade Kibaoh.

A young beetle Dylan and his friends Hailey and Ollie team up to compete against tough opponents in the exciting, high-octane sport of Battle Blading.

In China, the series debuted as Kiba-oh Battle Blade in March 2012 and ran for 52 episodes. Hong Kong’s Red Angel Media previously dubbed the show into English and Takara Tomy produced a toyline. No word yet if Kibaoh Klashers will have replicas heading into store shelves.

I can’t help but think the vehicles in Kibaoh Klashers were inspired by Sunrise’s Crush Gear franchise. What do you think? Leave a comment down below!
