Samurai Daycare Proves to Be a Youtube Success

A mere five days after its August 9 debut on SMOSH’s Shut Up! Cartoons Youtube channel, Mike Blum’s Samurai! Daycare series has already proven to be one of the most popular shows on the network, garnering 250,000 views from across the globe.

The flash-animated Samurai! Daycare follows the misadventures of a deluded, samurai-wielding daycare instructor who uses his unorthodox “way of the samurai” teaching methods on a bunch of preschoolers. The show premieres new episodes every Thursday noon, with the entire series running for 10 consecutive weeks. Produced by Pipsqueak Films, Smosh, and Alloy Digital, the Flash-animated show stars Matthew Lillard (The Descendants, Scooby Doo), Bobby Lee (MAD TV, Animal Practice), and Cathy Shim (MAD TV, Oishi High School Battle). It’s also billed as first animated show created for the web to be covered by the WGA.
