Llama Llama Season 2 Greenlit by Netflix
Netflix has recently greenlit the second season of Genius Brands International’s animated preschool series, Llama Llama. The second season will see actress Jennifer Garner return as the voice of lead character Mama Llama.
“I love Anna Dewdney’s award-winning, joyful Llama Llama books and am proud to voice Mama Llama on this very special series for Netflix,” Garner commented. “And now — great news! — Mama Llama and Llama Llama will be back for a second season! Thank you, Netflix — I can’t wait to get to work!”
The renewal is not surprising, given that Llala Llama’s first season successfully debuted on Netflix in more than 20 different languages just this January, but has already garnered a lot of fans. Aside from the production of season 2, Netflix and Genius Brands are also developing two new 30-minute Llama Llama specials, one meant to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Llama Llama is based on Anna Dewdney’s award-winning series of books about Llama Llama, who navigates childhood “firsts” with the help of his loving family, most especially Mama Llama.
