Sentai Filmworks has recently acquired the rights to produce anime adaptations of the graphic novel ‘Norn9’ and the famous MMORPG ‘Phantasy Star Online 2’. The two series will be launching this January in Japan and home video releases will follow through select digital outlets.
Norn9 is about Sorata Suzuhara, a 12-year-old boy who’s transported to an alternate time and a different world. Sorata is aboard the Norn, which is a massive spherical ship that functions as a small city. He is joined by nine young men and three girls on an expedition to a mysterious destination. The production is handled by Kinema Citrus.
Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation is about Itsuki Tachibana, a game player who faces different challenges inside and outside the game. It is produced by Telecom Animation film.
