Seth MacFarlane to Host Saturday Night Live

Seth MacFarlane to Host Saturday Night Live

Fresh off his sleeper hit Ted, Seth MacFarlane will spearhed the 38th season of the late night TV show Saturday Night Live as he hosts the season opener on Sept. 15. Fans can expect the creator of Fox TV’s hit mature toons Family Guy, Aerican Dad, and the Cleveland show to bring his own brand of grown-up, irreverent humor to the sketch and comedy show.

It is speculated that MacFarlane’s love for classic tunes will show on his SNL hosting stint, and the announcement that Frank Ocean will be a musical guest certainly adds credibility to the speculation. Other guest hosts for the new season include Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Premium Rush, Looper) on Sept. 22, Daniel Craig (Skyfall) on Sept. 29. It may be a tough year for the comedy show as major draws Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis and Abby Elliot will not be returning as regulars this season.
