Little Airplane Productions’ hit spud-themed animated series Small Potatoes has recently secured three new deals with prominent broadcasters such as German kids’ channel KiKA, Italy’s RAI, and TV Brasil. Germany will get the series in 13 x 7 format while Rai and TV Brasil will be airing the original 26 x 3 format. Over 20 broadcasters, including CBeebies in the UK, Disney Junior in the US and the ABC Australia currently air the series.
In support of the new deals, the Small Potatoes Facebook page will be providing a ton of new multimedia content such as videos, games, customized potato avatars, and many more. The facebook page also serves as the place for parents of younger children, and has attracted legions of teen and college-aged fans.
“We are really pleased to add these three major international broadcasters to our ever-growing list of partners,” says Josh Selig, Little Airplane’s president and show creator “Passing the 1,000,000 fan mark on Facebook is a very satisfying milestone indeed. The Small Potatoes are proving to be a huge hit on-air and on-line and we’re deeply grateful to all of our fans and all of our international partners for helping to make this happen.”
